Someone asked what would actually help. Here it is, without the soft packaging.

The bottleneck

A roughly $275–$300 IRS exempt-organization user fee (Form 1023-EZ path if eligible) is holding up a chain of other doors: Salesforce Power of Us, many nonprofit discounts, “real org” fee waivers. No determination letter yet means a lot of help stays closed. I’m waiting on disability benefits (SSDI pending; Washington ABD/DSHS processing) because that is the only float that isn’t a reimbursement trap.

What would help this week (concrete)

Gift cards or sponsored subscription credits so we can keep tools alive for AI testing and user-adoption research — not vibes, not “thoughts and prayers.”

Specifically useful:

• Notion — annual plan renews November; full Notion AI (Agent) needs Business. Gift card / sponsored upgrade = keep the public notebook + test Notion AI as a commons / adoption lab.
• Other AI / cloud / developer subscriptions people already use gift cards for (Apple, Google, etc.) if that’s easier than cash.

Why “AI testing / user adoption”

I’ve been promoting, testing, and explaining AI tools for years — including open-source work (e.g. PsyTrack on GitHub), Stack-style commons labor, and public notes. That work helps user adoption and stress-testing. A philosopher is on the job. The ledger is still empty.

If you can float a gift card or a month/year of a tool we’re already using to publish and test, you remove a real blocker. If you can float the IRS fee (and we can get to a three-director board for 1023-EZ), you unlock the nonprofit discount stack.
