The hinge (why income is not “nice to have”)
- ~\$275–\$300 IRS exempt-org user fee (Form 1023-EZ path if eligible) unlocks a chain: Salesforce Power of Us, nonprofit discounts, fee waivers, “real org” doors. No determination letter yet = many doors stay closed.
- Tool credits / gift cards / subscriptions keep the lab on (Notion renews November; AI / cloud / developer seats we already use to publish and test).
- Until that clears, we stay at the same gate: stack built, waiting on the number.
